Full face hyaluronic acid injection

A gesture to rejuvenate or beautify the face

We are discussing a specialty of the RivieraClinic, the "Full Face" injection. Dr. Smarrito highlights a particular technique of multi-zone injections on the face, all with a practice of "less is more".

The expert's explanation

Over the years, hyaluronic acid injections have evolved. As a result, we often receive requests from patients wanting an injection who ask about the price of a syringe. We can certainly tell them the price of a syringe. However, in our opinion, with over 20 years of experience and as experts in hyaluronic acid injections, this isn't the right approach to facial treatment.

Indeed, in my experience, the approach must be comprehensive in order to achieve a natural result.

Furthermore, over the years the range of hyaluronic acids has expanded considerably. There are products with different densities, different hydrating powers, different durations of action, and different volumizing effects.

Thus, each area of the face, or even the body, can have its own specific hyaluronic acid for a very particular purpose. A few decades ago, only Restylane, a pioneer in hyaluronic acid, was available.

Since then, hyaluronic acids have evolved considerably, particularly with molecular research; in most cases they have become biphasic and protected by encapsulation or Mannitol.

As for the Vivacy laboratory (Stylage product), they are also encapsulated with mannitol. Mannitol helps to reduce the short-term degradation of the hyaluronic acid molecule.

Due to the trauma of the injection, some free radicals could penetrate the molecule and begin to break it down. Furthermore, the long-term effectiveness of the treatment, compared to the natural resorption process (hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body) carried out by the skin's enzyme hyaluronidase, is also delayed by the laboratory process.

In practice, hyaluronic acid is very well tolerated in the face. It is also a resorbable product. Some may see this as a less than ideal or even undesirable factor, but for most surgeons who have witnessed 20 years of development in injectable products, it is very practical and reassuring.

It's true that, over the years, we adjust the treatment plan with our patients because we ultimately know what each patient wants. In this context, I particularly like the full-face treatment. "Full face" is a comprehensive approach to the face; it's not just about injecting a single line in the nasolabial fold or a single line on the cheekbones, but rather about making subtle adjustments to each area.

Thus, as illustrated in the attached photos, we can perform injections in the forehead, crow's feet, cheekbones, tear troughs, and nose (using non-surgical rhinoplasty techniques), complemented by procedures on the lips, nasolabial folds, cheekbones, and, more recently, the jawline. Distributing small doses of hyaluronic acid of varying densities and properties around the face allows for a natural appearance and enhances facial features.

The effect is much more dramatic, yet ultimately barely noticeable to those around you thanks to the targeted distribution of the product. The only drawback of this technique is that it is generally three times more expensive than a localized injection. This is because a significant amount of hyaluronic acid is injected. On the other hand, the effect is highly appreciated by patients , and the longevity of the results also seems to be enhanced by targeting each area with a specific product.

We remain at your disposal for any further information, particularly regarding the price of this procedure . As you understand, this procedure and its price are personalized, as they depend on the duration of the treatment, its complexity, and ultimately, the quantity of products used.
