In cases where non-surgical rhinoplasty is indicated, the goal is generally to correct a slight bump , provided the patient is willing to add volume to the nose, as the surgery itself tends to have a subtractive effect. In this case, an injection is administered between the forehead and the base of the bump, which essentially helps to smooth the bump into the nasal cavity. A hyaluronic acid injection is also given at the junction between the bump and the tip, and the tip itself is then reshaped with a sculpting injection.
Often associated with this bump , the angle between the nose and the lip needs to be corrected . During consultations, even for surgical rhinoplasty, we frequently observe that patients are quite self-conscious about the drooping of their nose when they smile, with a closed angle. In this case, an injection will be administered at the base of the nose to lift the tip, similar to a cartilage graft in true rhinoplasty, and to balance the nasolabial angle and profile.

Who is medical rhinoplasty for?
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is indicated for patients seeking correction of minor aesthetic imperfections of the nose. Strictly speaking, it is not an alternative to traditional surgical rhinoplasty, but rather a different option. The motivation of both the patient and the surgeon may be a contraindication to surgery, or the desire for lower costs, to avoid time off work, and to mitigate the risks associated with traditional surgical rhinoplasty. In principle, we can say that the goal of non-surgical rhinoplasty is the same as when grafts are implanted in traditional rhinoplasty.
There are many possible grafts in traditional rhinoplasty: shield graft, tip graft, radix graft, alar graft , rim graft, and Sheen graft. Since injections must be precisely targeted, they cannot replace all of these grafts but can act as a substitute for a graft along the tip axis or on the bridge of the nose. Therefore, we can use fillers, such as hyaluronic acid, in the following cases:
Presence of a hump at the dorsal level (convexity);
Presence of a hollow at the dorsal level (concavity);
Irregularities of the bridge of the nose, or even slight asymmetry;
Hooked nose (very good indication for medical injection);
Insufficiently projected tip;
Insufficiently formed tip and lacking finesse (to be discussed in consultation as this may be an indication for classic tip rhinoplasty);
Rotation of the tip;
Irregularities in the alar cartilages;
Insufficient projection of the tip;
Correction of minor irregularity after primary rhinoplasty (Dr. Smarrito does not perform corrections of rhinoplasty performed abroad);
Functional improvement (equivalent to butterfly or apposition grafts to separate the nasal valve).
Therefore, non-surgical rhinoplasty can have its own advantages. The strategy can be distinct from that of true surgical rhinoplasty. Hyaluronic acid injection for secondary rhinoplasty
